WALTHAM, Mass. – January 26, 2015 – EuroSite Power Inc., (OTCQB: EUSP) an On-Site Utility solutions provider, offering clean electricity, heat, hot water and cooling solutions to hospitality, healthcare, housing and leisure centres in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe, has announced customer savings totalling GBP198,372 (USD300,000) achieved by its fleet of CHP (Combined Heat and Power) units operating in the UK in 2014.
The fleet has also reduced UK carbon emissions by 2,047 metric tonnes – equivalent to taking 431 cars off the road. Further comparisons include saving the CO2 equivalent to what would be produced by driving a car for 4,873,810 miles and that would be sequestrated by 52,487 tree seedlings grown for 10 years.
Paul Hamblyn, Managing Director of EuroSite Power, said: “With 21 CHP units now operating in the UK, we are very proud to be able to announce these figures that show our On-Site Utility™ solutions are not only delivering customers immediate cost savings with zero capital outlay, but also helping them reduce their carbon footprint significantly too. As well as being good for the planet, CO2 savings can also help some UK customers mitigate the impact of taxes such as the Climate Change Levy and CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme.
“With significant further CHP projects in progress already for 2015, we’re looking forward to announcing a further leap in these figures next year and ongoing as more projects come online in years to come.”
