Eurosite Power Completes Installation Of Cost Saving Systems For Roko Health Clubs
LONDON – October 10, 2013 – EuroSite Power Inc., (OTCQB: EUSP) an On-Site Utility, offering clean electricity, heat, hot water and cooling solutions to hospitality, healthcare, housing and leisure centers in the United Kingdom (UK) and Europe, has announced that it is now operating a combined heat and power (CHP) system supplying clean energy to Roko Health Club, Chiswick, UK.
Chiswick is the final of five sites to go live from contracts with a total revenue value of approximately 7.97 million GBP (12.6 million US) over the term of 15 year agreements. The five projects combined will produce approximately 7,900,000 kWh of total energy per annum, while saving up to 817 tonnes of CO2 each year. This is achieved by producing clean energy in the form of electricity, heating and domestic hot water for each health club at a price lower than the clubs’ current and future energy suppliers.
Prior to Chiswick, EuroSite Power has already installed and is operating CHP systems at Roko Health Clubs in York, Gillingham, Nottingham and Portsmouth. Because Roko opted for EuroSite’s On-Site Utility solution, the clubs pay only for the energy used and avoid all capital, installation and operating costs. EuroSite Power also handled any planning consent that was needed and engineered its solutions to minimize the impact to any neighboring properties. For example, the InVerde CHP unit used at each site delivers class leading emissions and specially designed acoustic enclosures ensure that noise is kept to a minimum. EuroSite Power also handles all service, maintenance and repair, meaning the clubs will not need to provide manpower to support the energy equipment.
Neil Stanton, Roko Health Clubs’ Operations Director, said: “Operation of Chiswick brings to an end the installation process at all of our sites. We have already seen the benefit of the systems operated by EuroSite Power at Gillingham, Nottingham, Portsmouth and York. Savings are already being made but long-term we anticipate a material reduction in both our annual energy bill and CO2 production.”
Paul Hamblyn, Managing Director of EuroSite Power, said: “Chiswick coming online brings the number of operational systems in the UK to fifteen with an installed capacity of 3,492 kW. We continue to work hard to increase our installed base and to accelerate our business growth within the UK market.”
